The story behind

The added value of this products is the convenience factor: an idividual portion pre-sliced, suitable as thaw & serve product! Which results in an enormous gain of time for the (industrial) sandwich maker. The name "Focaccia" is derived from the Latin word "Focus" and means "hearth". Focaccia originates in the environs of Genoa (northern Italy) and was baked in the fireplace on white-hot charcoal. The favourite recipes of the time centred traditionally, around olives, olive oil and the white wine of the region.
