This deliciously crisp and very creamy dessert is one of the best known Portuguese export products in the world. There is no doubt that the famous Portuguese explorer Vasco de Gamma and later on the traders of the 16th century had something to do with that. More often than not, the Pastel de Nata is enjoyed on a café or terrace with a bica or espresso.
